“In a mid city, we make the love of “TAŞEV” (Stone House) happen not being mean in our dream… it’s the kitchen estetique beyond the palate… it’s the place of our childhood pleasure of motion pictures…its the love of the one sitting by the fireplace, for the ones watching sunset not breaking the hearts of the flowers and trees in the garden…”

TAŞEV stated in the history of Safranbolu and its magical configuration(the old town), has 200 years of original Roman architecture, has hosted Stelyo Trientifillidis (Güllüoğulları) and then violinist Zehra the organizator of the wedding ceremonies in this beautiful town.

TAŞEV is one of the most Special residences of Safranbolu.Its the only art and wine house in Safranbolu and its surrounding.TAŞEV servicing as a restaurant and a cafe with a capacity of 100 person in its garden and 60 in inside has a room used as an art gallery and has a cinema with a capacity of 30 person.

The Stone house built in a garden as two floors has a room used as a “Wine Bar” in its ground floor and has toilets there.

When you go up to the second floor there will be a huge saloon meeting you.In there you will be witnessing the excellent harmony of the “Wooden and Stone” architecture. Inside the rooms that are opening to the saloon there are fireplaces used for some different purposes.

The fireplace which is in “the small room” is thought to have been used as to get warm.

“Hamamlı oda” (the room with a bath) gets its name by an original bath used in there.Apart from the traditional Anatolian houses that have their bath inside the closet, it has the bath next to the fireplace with a boiler made with hand carving and a basin. The action of this system is that “the fireplace known as a double burning oven is set on fire and gets the water heated so that was used as now being used as a geyser.

The room used as a gallery is completely original.The fireplace there is named as “furnace” and when the house was active and used by its hosts the furnace is though to be used as cooking.

The mini cinema that is reached from stairs inside the gallery room is like a surprise fort he guests.Amongst the projects that will be put in practice this year are the kids theatre and a festivity of a film with its director and its performers.

TAŞEV has been put in service in Oct 10/2008 with the 9th International Golden Saffron Documentary festival, including the program of the festival, Gallery has been put in service with Mesude KILIÇ’s painting exhibition and the cinema has been put in service with the documentary “Adakale Sözlerim Çoktur” by İsmet ARASAN.

Amongst the activities that are arranged in TAŞEV in Nov 29/2008 and named under “Taşlara Karışık” (Voices from the Stone) and so on the Stone has started to talk…with the songs, poems, ballads… Sezai SARIOĞLU, Mehmet TEKİRDAĞ and Nevzat KARAKIŞ was under the roof of TAŞEV with the folk of Safranbolu.Cezmi ERSÖZ has met with his readers for a signature day and bull session in “Taşlara Karışık II” arranged in Apr 29/2009.

As for TAŞEV’s cuisine; it has a large menu of a restaurant as cheese plates of types of cheese from Kars region accompanier to the rich menu of the wine, types of steak, pastas, pastry, salads, desserts, rich breakfast, homemade jam, different types of herbal teas, coffees,cold and hot drinks are served for every meal.

There are accommadation, food and packages of the environmet tours that are arranged for our guest who are thinking of coming to Safranbolu as a group.
